A plastic snoring mouthpiece is more practical than a CPAP machine because it looks like a large set of braces. It requires no device, tubing, or mask. However, plastic snoring mouthpieces also have some disadvantages: They are not suitable if you have a severe overbite, a removable implant, or dentures. Several missing teeth in the upper or lower jaw can limit or even preclude their use. Initially, these mouthpieces often cause jaw pain because the lower jaw is forced into an unfamiliar position.
